Power Supply

SW2210 BLDCs

12v 100w Compact Brushless ROV Thruster Motors

The OGG Project "Proof of Concept" prototype uses five (5) miniature 12v BLDC electric motor-driven propellers. Each motor is 100 watts, so together, they need a reliable power supply that can supply 500 watts of power.

AC/DC Adapters - TSY-12100

To power the BLDC motors, each one has its own 12v 100w AC/DC Adapter, making five (5) adapters in total.

Individual power supplies are a better choice providing redundancy in case of component failure.

ESCs

Electronic Speed Control Components for Brushless DC Motors

To control the speed of the BLDC motors, each one is controlled by a 12v DC 15 amp Electronic Speed Control Component (ESC), making five (5) ESCs in total, each with a potentiometer to adjust the motor speed.

Again, redundancy is considered a better choice.

INTEGRATION

The components are all mounted together, to operate as a single unit.

The five (5) AC/DC Adapters are mounted below, under one single piece of specially formed, clear acrylic.

The PC Guard Power Board PG152C is mounted above them, together with the electrical terminal connectors, the five (5) ESCs and their five (5) % power selection potentiometers. All these components form a single practical unit to control all the operations of the "proof of concept"  prototype.

Demonstration Table

DESCRIPTION:

A demonstration table is an important companion to the "proof of concept" prototype.  It creates a safe, secure and stable platform to enable the prototype to provide live demonstrations. It also enables the prototype tank to be easily filled and drained using a common "plug-in" garden hose fitting.

PURPOSE:

Non-technical decision makers need to be able to observe the prototype in action and see for themselves exactly how the water flow created in the prototype draws floating debris on the surface inwards and downwards to be retained in the collection net below.

Sometimes, it is simply not enough to tell people, you have to show them.
